New OEM Partners and Applications from muvee Expected to Double that Number in 2011

Las Vegas, NV (January 9, 2011) – muvee, the pioneer and leader in home movie-making software and services, today announced shipment of over 24 million copies of its video editing applications in 2010, including top mobile and camera devices.

With muvee’s patented technology, consumers on a wide range of devices can create professional-looking home videos in minutes. In addition to muvee’s desktop software available at muvee.com, OEM versions of the automatic movie-making software have shipped in Nikon cameras, LG phones, HP computers, Seagate FreeAgent external hard drives, Coby camcorders, Nokia phones and Creative Technology’s Vado cameras. The varying versions of the software typically lack HD capabilities due to codec costs. Additional partners include Dell, Toshiba, Olympus, Cyworld, Yahoo!, Audiovox, Samsung, Medion, Pioneer and NVIDIA.

“Way too many consumer captured memories are just going from cam to RAM,” said Terence Swee, Founder and CEO of muvee. “Sharing of personal videos is not just about shooting and YouTube-ing; and these visionary companies understand that. We are privileged to add value to their users’ experience by enabling them to easily make great-looking movies that their friends and family will enjoy watching … and maybe even help evoke a tear or two.”

The success of muvee’s automatic video applications in mobile phones also led to the creation of the Device Solutions Group in 2010. muvee launched DSG to support OEM partners including LG in incorporating video editing applications in mobile devices. Ten years ago, muvee created the first automatic video editing software; and in 2004, muvee was the first to bring video editing to mobile devices. Today, muvee continues to be the leader in applications for video editing on-the-go.

muvee’s award-winning software can also be found on shwup.com, muvee’s own private and collaborative photo and video sharing site that also allows users to create home movies.
