Denmark's Phase One A/S has released an updated version of its Capture One workflow package for the Windows and Mac OS platforms, adding several new features and correcting some bugs.

Capture One 6.1 is available immediately for 32-bit Windows, 64-bit Windows, and Mac OS X platforms. Compared to the previous version, the new release adds local contrast and brightness adjustment tools, support for tablet pen pressure and eraser functions, and the ability to create and import Getty Images metadata.

In addition, Capture One 6.1 adds compatibility with a number of cameras from six manufacturers -- Canon, Leaf, Nikon, Panasonic, Pentax, and Phase One. Newly supported models include the Canon PowerShot G12, Leaf Aptus II 12 tethered, Nikon D3100 and Coolpix P7000, Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2, DMC-G10, DMC-FZ45, and DMC-FZ100, Pentax K-5 and K-r, and finally the Phase One IQ140, IQ160, and IQ180. There's also preliminary support for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 and DMC-GH2.

Bug fixes aren't described in detail, but include some OpenCL related issues, problems with selection during sorting and deletion, and an improved high ISO color noise reduction function that should be more effective across a variety of color temperatures.

More details can be found on the Phase One website.
