The SEVEN Fund -- a Cambridge, MA-based nonprofit organization that aims to combat poverty by promoting entrepreneurship -- is currently running a photo contest offering cash prizes to four lucky winners.

The "I Am An Entrepreneur" contest, which launched at the start of the year, is currently nearing the submission deadline for its first quarterly phase, with entries for the second quarter beginning on April 1st. Each quarter, one entry will be selected as a $250 prize winner, and after the fourth quarter entry deadline on December 31st, one of the four quarterly winners will be selected as the $1,000 grand prize winner.

The contest is free to enter, and seeks 5:4 aspect, JPEG digital photos in either color or black and white forms, with a minimum resolution of 1,600 pixels on the shorter edge, and a file size of between two and five megabytes. No borders, frames, watermarks, or filters (beyond a short list of permitted types) are allowed, and photographers must have model releases on hand. (A PDF sample release is provided on the SEVEN website.) Prospective entrants are allowed to offer one photograph per month for consideration, and photos should "embody the spirit of entrepreneurship, with particular focus on entrepreneurial ventures and technology." SEVEN further note that they "are especially interested in photographs that capture some emotional quality associated with entrepreneurship: risk, innovation, excitement at possibilities, fear, wonder, etc."

More details can be found on the SEVEN website.
