Available for almost a month on the iPad, Nik Snapseed allows users to edit and share their images via a simple, intuitive touchscreen interface. A generous selection of filters and functions are available, grouped into eleven main categories: Auto Correct, Selective Adjust, Tune Image, Straighten & Rotate, Crop, Black & White, Vintage Films, Drama, Grunge, Center Focus, and Organic Frames. Snapseed also includes the ability to share images via email, on Flickr, or on Facebook, or to print directly via WiFi from your iOS device.
Snapseed supports JPEG or TIFF files natively, and iPad or iPad 2 owners can also work on embedded JPEGs extracted from Raw files during import with Apple's Camera Connection Kit. The iPad, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch are limited to editing photos up to 6.25 megapixels, while the iPad 2 and iPhone 4 can handle 16 megapixel images.

Customers who already purchased the app for their iPad should receive the iPhone / iPod versions automatically by updating purchased apps, or syncing.
Nik has not stated any plans to port Snapseed for use on phones or tablets running Google's Android operating system.
