PRESS RELEASE: Panasonic Receives EISA Award with DMC-G3 for “European Compact System Camera 2011-2012”
Panasonic today has announced that the company has been awarded a prestigious EISA Award for the LUMIX new generation system camera DMC-G3. The LUMIX DMC-G3 camera has been named ‘European Compact System Camera of the year 2011-2012’ for its stunning image quality and exceptional range of features packed into a beautifully-profiled compact and lightweight design.
The EISA jury commented: “The LUMIX DMC-G3 is a very small interchangeable-lens camera, which, as it is fitted with a built-in flash and an electronic viewfinder, is as easy to use indoors as it is outside on a sunny day. The camera offers excellent image quality, and it is capable of resolving very fine details and working in low light without producing excessive image noise.”
Sven Dabelstein, Senior Manager Product Marketing, Digital Imaging Products, Panasonic Marketing Europe commented: “We’d all like to take high quality creative photos, but no-one wants to carry around complicated and heavy DSLR cameras every day. That’s why we have created something different with our LUMIX G range of interchangeable lens cameras. We’re delighted that our innovations in this area have been recognized by the EISA judges, and we look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of imaging performance.”
The LUMIX DMC-G3’s new 16.0-megapixel Live MOS sensor, Light Speed AF and Full HD AVCHD video recording capabilities provide the exceptional image quality in a small sleek design that was once restricted to large, heavy DSLR cameras. The camera’s intuitive automatic shooting modes and full range of advanced features mean every kind of user can get the picture they want, when they want.
In addition to the digital imaging product, Panasonic is also awarded with the state-of-the-art VIERA TX-P50VT30E for ‘European Plasma TV of the year 2011-2012’ by the EISA judges.
