September 7th, 2011, Boulder, Colo. -- LifePics, a web-based firm supplying digital image technology that sends photo orders to retail stores worldwide, announced today an agreement with Hallmark Cards, Inc., allowing retailers in the LifePics network to offer customized greeting cards with designs from the world's greeting card leader.

The new service is rolling out to retailers in the LifePics network who also carry Expressions from Hallmark greeting cards, with templates using card designs from that line that consumers can access on the retailer's LifePics-powered web site. Consumers can choose from any of several types of greetings -- new baby, wedding, birthday, general good wishes, and more -- and add their own photos and a customized message. The order is placed online and the consumer can pick up the card at the retail location on the next visit.

Hy-Vee, a Midwest grocery chain, will be the first retailer to offer the new products. Additional seasonal designs will be added this fall, and the products will also expand to other retailers in the LifePics network. The cards can be produced in 4x8 or 5x7 flat sizes.
