Great stuff! A 10x optically-stabilized zoom lens, 2.6 megapixel sensor, MicroDrive compatibility, tilt/swivel LCD, flash hot shoe, and burly LiIon battery. Oh yeah, the pictures look great too!...
We've completed our review of the excellent Canon PowerShot Pro90IS digicam, and have the results posted. The "IS" in the name stands for "image stablilizer", as the camera sports a 10x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilization built in. This *really* helps for handheld shots at maximum telephoto. (We figure it gives you about 2 f-stops of additional shutter speed latitude over what you'd normally need to get a blur-free shot.) Other characteristics of the camera should prove highly appealing to the "enthusiast" types out there, including 2.6 megapixel resolution, a full-manual exposure option, MicroDrive compatibility, a full-featured hot shoe on top for external flash connection, and Canon's burly BP-511 LiIon battery packs for long runtimes. Oh yes - Image quality is first rate too! (The review is complete, we'll be posting the sample images to the Comparometer(tm) by tomorrow evening.) Check it out!
