Imaging Platform to be Used in Eyemodule and Eyemodule2 Digital Cameras

VICTORIA, British Columbia, Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- ACD Systems (TSE: ASA - news) announced it has signed a digital imaging solutions provider deal with IDEO. ACD will provide the desktop imaging solutions component for IDEO's digital cameras. The component will be used for taking JPEG images that are to be viewed on the Handspring Visor PDA. As part of the deal, 60,000 units will be bundled together with ACD's flagship product, ACDSee 3.1 for PC and 1.5 for Mac, with worldwide distribution.

The eyemodule and the eyemodule2 are digital cameras, made by IDEO, and are compatible with all Handspring Visor handheld computers, including the recently introduced Visor Prism and Visor Platinum.
