Wow! Has it been that long? The PMA show put a huge gap in our review coverage, but we're finally picking back up again today, with our full review of the Olympus C-2040 Zoom digicam. (Lots more coming later this week, too, including a surprise tomorrow afternoon.) Olympus is now on the third generation of its popular two megapixel C-2000 Zoom lineup, which began over two years ago with it's original C-2000 Zoom, continued last year with the C-2020 Zoom (which is the camera we use in-house for all our product shots), and is represented this year by the new C-2040 Zoom. This long history shows in the smoothly functional user interface, and in the numerous small tweaks and features added over time. Overall, the C-2040 Zoom is clearly one of the top two or three two-megapixel digicams on the market. If you're a serious photographer, but don't need the added resolution of a three megapixel model, the C-2040 Zoom could very well be your next digicam. Even if you're only a point & shoot-level user, the preprogrammed exposure modes of the 2040 make it easy to use and approachable, while it's more sophisticated options provide room to grow. All in all, the 2040 Zoom looks like another winner from Olympus. Read the review for all the details!
