Phil Askey tries out Sony's recently announced 2mpix, 3x zoom CD-RW digicam!
Our friends over at the Digital Photography Review website have now posted their full review of Sony's recently announced MVC-CD200, an interesting camera which features a 2.11 megapixel CCD sensor, Sony 3x optical zoom lens and a Mini CD-RW drive for rewriteable CD storage. What did Phil think?"Reviewing the CD300 before the CD200 gave me a good insight into how I expected it to perform, and indeed it gets identical ratings to the CD300, the CD200 performed well in all our tests, everything we would expect from a 2 megapixel prosumer digital camera before considering the CD-R/RW storage ability. It offers an excellent solution to those who don't have a need for three megapixels, it comes in $200 cheaper, fits more images onto a single CD-R/RW and does so slightly quicker." For the full story along with the usual sample photos, in-depth look at camera control, and so on, check out the Digital Photography Review's Sony Mavica MVC-CD200 review...
