Phil Askey amends S75 review after trying out a production camera...
The good folks at the Digital Photography Review website have updated their review of Sony's DSC-S75 digital camera, which they posted back on February 26th. The original review looked at a development camera, but Phil has now had the chance to get hands-on with a final release version, which has the following changes over the previous camera: - Larger power switch in a slightly different position
- Labelling of LCD button changed
- Improved confirmation of focusing on the LCD display
- Shot-to-shot times almost halved
- Slightly improved performance on color and resolution tests
Much of Phil's conclusion stands unaltered, with the following addition:"Having now updated this review with results from a production camera my conclusions stand, the most important changes from the original review are much faster shot-to-shot times (just 3.6 seconds), slightly cleaner colours, marginally higher resolution and the repositioned power switch (out of the way of accidental power-offs)." There's plenty of changes throughout Phil's review, however, all marked wherever there is an update. If you're considering purchasing the DSC-S75, be sure and read up on what you can expect from a final-version camera!
When you're done reading Phil's review, check out our own full review, as well as Steve's Digicams' first look, both posted back on February 9th.
