Jeff Keller looks at Olympus' blazingly fast 1.5 megapixel 10x zoom digicam...
The fine folks over at the Digital Camera Resource Page have now posted their full review of Olympus' E-100RS digital camera. Jeff summarises his thoughts on the E-100RS as follows: "It's hard to compare the Olympus E-100 Rapid Shot to other cameras, since there isn't another camera like it on the market. It's ability to shoot 15 frames per second is unmatched by any prosumer digital camera out there. While it's resolution is only 1.5 Megapixel, most folks will find that to be enough. On top of its incredible speed, the E-100RS also has a very nice 10X lens (though it has some fringing problems at times), full manual controls, and a nice bundle. If you're looking for ultra-fast shooting, look no further than the E-100RS." When you're done reading Jeff's review with the usual collection of sample images, and a good look at camera control and layout, get a second opinion from our own Olympus E-100RS review, posted back on January 18th. Get more info on the camera from Steve's Digicams' first-look of February 26th, as well as a full review in the February 2001 edition of Megapixel.net... (Unfortunately with the way Megapixel's site is designed, we can't link directly to the review, but you can find it by clicking on 'New Reviews' and then selecting the Olympus E-100RS).
