Seminars planned for 30 cities around the USA...

Eastman Kodak Co. has announced in a press release that it will demo its ProShots solution at 30 seminars around the USA this summer. ProShots allows professional photographers to continue shooting film, but get digital images scanned onto CD, Zip, Jaz or 120MB SuperDisk. Images can also be received by email... ProShots software then allows the photographer to cull, crop, position and rotate
images, make size and quantity selections, build albums and more, with studio pricing and lab costs automatically calculated. The film negatives are kept at the photo lab for use in future orders. Full details including locations and dates of the seminars are in the press release below.

Kodak Professional Sponsors Series of Seminars on ProShots; Digital Image System Enables Digital Proofing, Online Sales From Film Seminars Help Photographers Link Traditional Photography and Digital Technologies

ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 16 - Kodak Professional is sponsoring a series of 30
seminars around the nation for professional photographers to learn about
ProShots - a sophisticated image management and transmission system that
builds a bridge between traditional film photography and such valuable
technology-driven benefits as digital proofing and online sales. The
seminars kick off today in San Francisco and conclude September 13 in
Charlotte, N.C.

In these multimedia events, photographer David Ziser will introduce the
latest generation of ProShots, which he calls the most powerful
order-processing and e-commerce tool ever available to photographers. A
favorite speaker of photographers for more than 20 years, Ziser will show
photographers how to leverage new developments in digital cameras and
ProShots technology to achieve more success in their studios and their
businesses.

"Photographers who attend these seminars will come away with new ideas about
digital photography - how to do more with the images they already produce,
how to present their studio as a 'cutting edge' operation, and how to
increase their bottom line while eliminating very time-consuming tasks,"
said Geoff Tucker, U.S. Manager, Online Services, Kodak Professional.

The evening seminars are free to professional photographers, and attendees
will receive the latest ProShots software without charge. A trade show will
precede each seminar, offering further information of use to photographers.

About ProShots

ProShots is a sophisticated software solution that combines traditional
photographic processing and printing with a practical, cost-effective
application of digital transmission and proofing. Film is processed and
video-analyzed, then digitally scanned and written to CD, Zip or Jaz
cartridges or 120Mb diskette.

Digital images files can be e-mailed to the photographer, and negatives are
archived at the lab in long roll form awaiting reorder. Using the ProShots
viewer software, photographers can download their scanned orders or - if the
images were written to CD or cartridge - load them onto their hard drives.

With the images in hand, photographers can cull, crop, position and rotate
images, make size and quantity selections, build unique albums, and even
select an album page for every image. Both studio pricing and lab costs are
calculated automatically. The ProShots viewer allows images to be presented
as an on-screen slide show, or to be designed and laid out into albums.

ProShots software makes it very easy to create web pages that can be
uploaded to the Internet for on-line ordering. It even organizes the
traditional ordering task for the photographer and eliminates the order
entry task at the lab. Likewise, ProShots software eliminates the use of
aperture cards, glassine envelopes, and order forms.
