Phil Askey posts review of Nikon's latest swivel-body digicam...
The fine folks over at the Digital Photography Review website have today posted their review of Nikon's Coolpix 995, an update to the swivel-body Coolpix 995 with a 4x optical zoom lens, popup flash, CompactFlash Type-II storage and Lithium Ion rechargeable battery. Phil concludes: "The 995 ... has several new features and improvements. It is, without a doubt, the most flexible and feature rich digital camera currently available. And yet it's easy enough for a novice to pick up and take great shots. I'm not convinced this is a camera which existing 990 owners will buy (or need to), but for those looking for a prosumer digital who haven't yet committed themselves, the 995 must be on their consideration list (somewhere near the top)." For a whole lot more (Phil's reviews continue to expand, this one topping it at 25 pages long!) be sure to check out the entire Digital Photography Review Nikon Coolpix 995 review. When you're done, get a second opinion from our own full review, and yet another opinion from the Steve's Digicams review, both posted back on April 24th...
