Phil Askey posts mammoth review of Nikon's latest Pro SLR digicam...
Our good friend Phil Askey over at the Digital Photography review has now posted his full review of Nikon's D1x digital camera, a whopping 25 pages long plus 41 sample images (the review actually went up on Friday, but between Mike being away for a few days' vacation, and Dave leaving for his own vacation today, we've only just had a chance to mention it!) Phil obviously enjoyed the D1x, concluding: "I'm quite comfortable applauding Nikon and giving the D1x the crown of the best digital SLR on the market (at the time of writing this review). When you see the camera as a whole, it's excellent build quality, super rugged body and you add amazing resolution, superb colour reproduction, low noise at higher ISO's, fast operational speed, support for Microdrive you begin to realize that the D1x is going to be a very tough act for ANYONE to follow." Head on over to the Digital Photography Review for the full story, then be sure to read our full Nikon D1x review posted back on June 18th for a second opinion!
