Dave gets hands-on with Olympus' 4 megapixel '40-series digital camera...
Olympus continues to extend their popular Camedia line of digicams, this time adding a 4 megapixel CCD and an improved interface to their already popular '40 lineup. (Now consisting of the C-2040, C-3040, and C-4040 cameras.) We've had our hands on a prototype model of the Olympus Camedia C-4040Zoom, and it looks very promising: Apart from a single obvious prototype CCD defect (a yellow line down the left side of the images), image quality looks unusually good for a prototype camera.
We'll have a full set of test images from a production model in a couple of weeks, but in the meantime, read the review, and check out the shots we captured with the prototype. If you're considering moving into the 4 megapixel realm, the C-4040Zoom deserves serious consideration. Check it out!
