The company has strengthened its industry focus through the appointment of Andy Young as Chief Marketing Officer, Jeannine Smith as Chief Engineering Officer, and the promotion of the company's co-founders, Dan Baum to Executive Vice President of Operations and Eva Manolis to Executive Vice President of Product and Services Strategy. This announcement follows the recent appointment of Chief Financial Officer Virender Ahluwalia and further proves the company's continued commitment to growth and profitability in the online photo service industry.

Executive Appointments
Andy Young brings more than fifteen years of technology and consumer products experience to Shutterfly. As Chief Marketing Officer, Young will oversee the development of the company's marketing strategies, including leading the company's customer marketing, product marketing, and business development teams. Prior to joining Shutterfly, Young held several senior level marketing positions with technology and consumer product companies. As Vice President of Marketing for Questrus, a customer analysis software start-up, Young led the development of the company's business plan, identity development and sales strategies. Previously, Young was a Senior Vice President of Marketing for Mattel Interactive, where he oversaw brand management, creative services, channel marketing, market research and public relations for the company's retail education products. Young's marketing experience also includes twelve years of consumer packaged goods background with Kraft and Del Monte Foods.
As Chief Engineering Officer, Jeannine Smith will utilize her eighteen years experience leading hardware and software product development to manage Shutterfly's image science, web and lab engineering teams. Since joining Shutterfly in September of 1999, Smith has architected and managed the development of the company's automated photo lab workflow and VividPics(TM)systems. Smith spent seven years at Silicon Graphics and subsidiary Alias|Wavefront, designing and managing leading-edge video products including device-independent video APIs, Internet-based video conferencing and professional video applications. Smith's experience also includes ten years in the networking field, building routers and other network products for a variety of companies.
As Executive Vice President of Product and Services Strategy, co-founder Eva Manolis will lead a team that will conceptualize and evaluate new products and services to maintain Shutterfly's leadership of the online photography industry.
Co-founder and Executive Vice President of Operations Dan Baum will be responsible for Shutterfly's customer service, quality management, operations and state-of-the-art digital processing facility.
