William Brawley Managing Editor
William Brawley is the Managing Editor at Imaging Resource and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
He began his serious journey into the world of photography starting around 2007-2008 while studying at Georgia Tech. Not long after getting a Nikon D80 -- his first "real camera" -- he joined The Technique, the Georgia Tech student newspaper. In addition to photographing various assignments and finding a love for the challenge of sports photography, he eventually began working for the newspaper staff as Assistant News Editor.
His passion for photography continued after graduation in 2009 with an internship at a local newspaper, which also lead him into the world of "HD-DSLR video" (and switching over to a Canon 5D Mark II and 7D). Subsequently, he took on a full-time position as a multimedia producer at The Covington News and The Rockdale News, using photos and video to cover local news and sports. In addition to his news role, he produced various commercial videos and other digital media products for the newspaper. His photojournalism work garnered a handful of awards, both individually and as part of an editorial team, from the Georgia Associated Press and the Georgia Press Association.
After working for the newspaper, he wanted to continue working in the photography industry and joined the Imaging Resource team in 2013.
