Only three weeks after the last update shipped, Paris, France-based DxO Labs has released Optics Pro v7.2.3, keeping up the fast development pace of its flagship image processing application.
According to the official release notes, DxO Optics Pro 7.2.3 fixes the most common crashes on both Windows and Macintosh platforms, as well as some other minor issues on the Mac. It also adds support for two new camera models: the Canon EOS-5D Mark III and Pentax K-01.
For the Pentax, support is available in both the Standard and Elite versions of Optics Pro. Twenty six lens modules are provided, all of them Pentax models (and in one case, also available rebadged as a Samsung lens.) An additional module for the Samsung 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 lens is expected later this month.
The Canon, meanwhile, is supported only by Optics Pro Elite. A whopping 77 lens modules are available covering a wide selection of Canon, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, and Zeiss models at launch, and no further modules are on the roadmap currently.
DxO Optics Pro is priced at around US$170 for the Standard edition and $300 for the Elite edition, respectively. The update is free of charge for anybody who purchased Optics Pro 6 or 7 after September 1, 2011. More details on the DxO website!
