Either way, the folks at MacMall are running a sweepstakes that could see your studio decked out for free with shiny new gear--including an Apple computer, naturally.

Two prizes are on offer, with the more valuable of the two--all-in list pricing for the prize bundle is around US$9,400--reserved solely for studios with eleven employees or more. The second prize is still worth a generous US$4,800, and will go to a studio with anywhere from one to ten employees.

If you win the grand prize, you'll receive a 15-inch MacBook Pro notebook with 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and Retina-branded 2,880 by 1,800 pixel display, plus an HP ZR2240w 21.5-inch IPS display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution. You'll also get Adobe's Creative Suite 6 Master Collection on DVD, and two Wacom Intuos5 touch Medium pen tablets with which to unleash your creative side. To back up everything you've created, you'll score two Drobo S five-bay storage arrays with eSATA / FireWire 800 / USB 3.0 connectivity (we're presuming these don't include the drives), and to render it in tangible form, there's an HP Designjet 510 24-inch printer. Plus you'll get two copies of ESET Cybersecurity antivirus software.

The second prize , meanwhile, is based around a 21.5-inch iMac desktop with 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor and 1,920 by 1,080 pixel display. On the software side, you get Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium, and one Wacom Intuos5 touch Small tablet is included. The bundled Drobo S storage array still has five bays, but uses gigabit ethernet connectivity. The HP TopShot LaserJet Pro M275nw is based around a laser printer, so it's not optimal for photo printing, but on the plus side does include 3D object scanning capability and should handle general office tasks with aplomb. Oh, and you still get two copies of ESET Cybersecurity, as well...

So regardless of which prize you win, you get a generous selection of cool kit, much of which would be useful to photographers wanting to refresh their studio. Cool! The sweepstakes entry and rules can be found on MacMall's website!
