Back at the start of July, the Samsung EX2F digital camera was unveiled, claimed by its manufacturer to have the brightest lens of any compact camera model. Admittedly, that record didn't last long: just two weeks later the Panasonic LX7 was revealed with an even brighter zoom. Still, there's no denying that with a maximum aperture varying from f/1.4 to f/2.7 across the zoom range, the Samsung EX2F's lens is seriously bright.
Today, Samsung announced that the EX2F compact camera is now available for purchase in the US market. Priced at US$500, some $50 less than its initially-planned launch price, Samsung's latest and greatest fixed-lens model is further detailed in our Samsung EX2F preview.
