The Camera Bag: A $2 alarm to protect your camera gear

Here's an interesting video on how to create a simple, motion-sensitive alarm to protect your pricey camera gear from being stolen.

In the how-to video, the folks at Kipkay explain how they bought a $2 "impact alarm" from their neighborhood dollar store, and then hacked it to make it motion activated.

While the original impact device is designed to blast a high-pitched alarm if someone breaks your window, with a basic tweak you can mount it to a camera bag or a camera itself while you're on a shoot, so it goes off if someone touches your stuff.
