Camera bag specialist Think Tank Photo has just announced three new products due to launch imminently: the Glass Limo, Retrospective 40, and Retrospective 50.
The trio are all set to ship sometime in November 2012, and while you can't yet place a pre-order, the Think Tank Photo website does let you sign up to be notified when each product becomes available. (Click the links above to go direct to the product pages for each bag.)
The carry-on sized Think Tank Photo Glass Limo is designed to fit either larger lenses like a 500mm f//4 mounted on a pro camera body, a 600mm f/4 unmounted, or a medium to large kit of standard zoom lenses. It's priced at around US$200, and available in black only.
According to its maker, it's the smallest and lightest backpack-style case specifically designed for long lenses. Features include a removable yoke collar and support ring, a harness borrowed from the StreetWalker backpack, attachments for a tripod or monopod, a built-in rain cover, and support for Think Tank Photo's modular component system to add as many as three pouches for more camera gear.
The Retrospective 40 and 50, meanwhile, are closely-related soft-sided shoulder bags, available in a choice of black, blue slate, or pinestone (shown above.) Both bags accept a pro SLR body with attached 70-200mm lens, and have a slot for a laptop. They differ in the size of the laptop that can be accepted though, with the Retrospective 40 intended for a typical 13-inch laptop, and the Retrospective 50 for a 15-inch model.
In other respects, the duo are very similar. Both can also fit a further two pro SLR bodies in their front pocket, have removable divider sets to partition the bags as you want, include seam-sealed rain covers, and have padded nonslip shoulder straps for comfort. The Retrospective 40 costs around US$210, and the Retrospective 50 is about US$240.
