Accessory review: Triggertrap remote release puts some new magic into that old shutter button

 

 

We've always missed a simple mechanical cable release on our electronic cameras. But no more. With Triggertrap we not only get a cable release, we also get some brains to perform magic with that old Shutter button.

We particularly liked using it for macro shots in Live View. In fact, Live View was a lot easier to work with using Triggertrap.

That's probably because a half-press of the virtual shutter button isn't an option. But then we were manually focusing anyway, moving the subject in relation to the camera.
