DxO Optics Pro update: Big news for Nikon D7100 owners
posted Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:24 AM EST
Another month has come and gone, and the latest update to French software company DxO Labs' flagship, photographer-centric workflow app, DxO Optics Pro, is here -- but this time it's a little different. Instead of the usual mixture of newly-supported camera bodies -- or occasionally, fixed-lens cameras or camera backs -- from a variety of manufacturers being added, this time the love is all reserved for just one camera.
If you own the Nikon D7100, you're in luck, because yours is the camera DxO has been focusing its resources on this month. As well as newly-supporting your body, DxO Optics Pro v8.1.5 has also added no less than 132 D7100-specific lens modules.
Optics modules that have been added include all of the following:

DxO's release notes also state that some minor bugs have been fixed, although the company doesn't provide any specific details on what issues have been remedied.
DxO Optics Pro lists for about US$170 in Standard form, and US$300 for the Elite version. Only the standard version is needed for Nikon D7100 support. More details can be found on the DxO website. If you already own Optics Pro, you can find the update in the customer area of the site.
