The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has an excellent Tumblr blog called "My Public Lands" featuring photos by government workers of U.S. land they love and cherish. Many of the images look like the work of professional photographers, with some of the best shots captured under the grand vistas of the American West.

We've pulled together seven of our favorite American West shots from the blog, showcasing the beauty of everything from Arizona to Alaska. Of course, there are many more fantastic photos at the "My Public Lands" blog.
