How many photographers does it take to unbox a Nikon 800mm?

Now here's something few of us will get the chance to see in person: The folks at Outdoor Photo Gear have just received Nikon's lustworthy AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens, which boasts an eyewatering pricetag of roughly US$18,000.

It's Internet tradition that when you receive the latest cool new toy, you record yourself taking it out of the box, and that's just what Outdoor Photo Gear has done. When you're unboxing an expensive piece of kit like this, you do it right -- gently and carefully, no tipping the box upside down to shake out the contents. It takes no less than three people to get the 800mm lens out of its packaging, but we somehow doubt Outdoor Photo Gear had any trouble at all finding three staffers who wanted a chance to cozy up to to the 800mm f/5.6.
