The Camera Bag: Think Tank Photo unveils new bag collection for mirrorless cameras

 

 

Think Tank Photo's timing couldn't be better for the launch of its latest camera bag collection. The California-based company just unveiled its new Mirrorless Mover line of bags, designed specifically for small, mirrorless-style digital cameras. The announcement comes on the same day as Olympus took the wraps off its new E-P5 PEN mirrorless camera.

Coincidence? Perhaps, but it does show that there are plenty of small, interchangeable lens cameras out there now to stuff into Think Tank's latest bags. The four-bag collection ranges in size from the Mirrorless Mover 5, which can fit a small size mirrorless body with a small telephoto or pancake lens attached; up to the Mirrorless Mover 30i, which can fit one medium to large size mirrorless body along with two to four lenses and a tablet computer.

Some of the noteworthy new features of these bags include the following: YKK zippers; metal buckles and snaps; new magnetic closures; multi-purpose divider with a smart phone slot and two SD card slots (excluding the smallest size bag); made from durable, poly-ballistic fabric; seam-sealed rain cover stashed in front pocket; stetchable side pockets and interior mesh pocket on the lid for batteries or accessories.

•    The Mirrorless Mover 10 (US$44.75) fits one medium-size mirrorless  camera body and one to two lenses plus additional accessories. It's sized for the Leica V–Lux, Olympus OM–D E–M5, Panasonic G3, GF5, GH2, Samsung NX5, NX11, NX210, Sony NEX–5, NEX–6, NEX–7, or similar sized/smaller bodies.
•    The Mirrorless Mover 20 (US$54.75) fits one medium-size mirrorless body plus two to three lenses and additional accessories. It's sized for the Leica V–Lux, Olympus OM–D E–M5, Panasonic G3, GF5, GH2, Samsung NX5, NX11, NX210, Sony NEX–5, NEX–6, NEX–7, or similar sized/smaller bodies.
•    The Mirrorless Mover 30i (US$69.75) fits one medium to large size mirrorless body plus two to four lenses, iPad, and additional accessories or a small–size DSLR and one to three small telephoto lenses or primes. It's sized for the Fuji X–Pro 1, Leica M8, Panasonic GH3 or similar sized/smaller bodies. Small DSLRs that will fit include Canon Rebel, Nikon D3200/D5200, Sony SLT–A55/A37 or similar sized bodies.
