Teach your cat to take “selfie” self-portrait photos with the Snapcat app

If there's anything the Internet likes more than poorly framed self-portraits taken with smartphones, it's pictures of cats! So why not combine the two to make a single app that allows your cat to take adorably unflattering pictures of itself?
At the Photo Hack Day in Berlin this year, a number of crazy and cool photography creations were put together — but the one we like the best is Snapcat. This little app has a rapidly moving icon that's sure to attract a curious kitty, and if it manages to catch the dot, the app takes a photo. You need an EyeEm account to make it work, but that's hardly a big deal.
The Snapcat app is, unfortunately, Android only, and while there is a web version, it doesn't work on Safari for iOS. But if you have an Android device, and don't mind your cat getting used to batting at it with its paw, then you could soon have more cat self portraits than you know what to do with. Your cat could be the next Internet star!
