Asia is an immense continent, filled with vastly differing peoples and regions, so wild and diverse they could never all be chronicled by one photographer. But French artist Kares Le Roy has tried more than most, spending two years traversing across 56,000km (nearly 35,000 miles), through the heart of Asia. Along the way he captured an astonishing array of people and places, some of which he stitched together in this mini-documentary of his travels.

In just six minutes, he packs more of the continent than many of us will see in our lives. As he says in the video's intro:

"As a photographer I went to meet with another vision of Asia. The one of endangered peoples and cultures that are not spoken about. After 56,000 kilometers in two years, here is an overview of this journey."

In an interview with Beware magazine, Le Roy revealed that he had a relatively broad definition of Asia, visiting 20 countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Asia, Central Asia and Middle-East.

Le Roy's book from his travels is available online in France, but we haven't seen it anywhere more readily available. If you want, you can see more of Le Roy's work on his blog and website.
