It's hard to find much to complain about with the Sony RX1 and RX1R, apart from maybe the price. But one of the downsides of those incredibly petite bodies is that there isn't much of a grip. Fotodiox has now unveiled a new set of accessories just for Sony's full-frame compact, and a bit part of that is a significantly bigger and better way to grab the thing.

Leading the charge is the $79.95 Fotodiox hand grip for the RX1. It screws directly in to the tripod mount, and adds a metal l-shaped frame around the base and one side of the camera, culminating in a much more substantial grip. Also, it brings an extra tripod mount to the party so you can still affix your camera if needed, and still lets you get at the battery and memory card.

The Fotodiox pro hood will set you back $69.95, and is based on the rectangular lens hoods designed by Leica. It's crafted of solid metal, with a stepped design and matte black construction to help protect your front element, and block unwanted light.

Finally, Fotodiox's soft shutter release buttons will also work with the RX1 and RX1R.

If you wanted to pick up each of these items individually, it'd set you back $165 — but Fotodiox is also bundling all three at a substantial discount, for $109.95. And given that you just dropped $2800 on a camera, throwing out an extra $100 to make sure it's protected and easy to grip sounds like it might be a wise investment.
