The recent aerial drone footage of the Grand Palais in France showed us that there's something incredibly interesting about seeing the inside of a building from the view of an aerial drone. Now we have some more indoors aerial footage to drool over, this time from inside the Main Branch of the New York Public Library, thanks to a quadcopter flying down its halls.
Shot by Nate Bolt in full cooperation with the NYPL Labs team, they recorded inside the famed building using a DJI Phantom quadcopter, loaded with a GoPro Hero3 Black and an iPhone 5S.
Don't worry, everyone in the library for the shoot was in on it, and no books were harmed in the making of the video. The last thing you'd want is a drone to go flying into an ancient and irreplaceable tome.
As these aerial drones continue to become smaller and more affordable, we're sure that we'll see them popping up in more and more interesting places. Just make sure you don't crash it into anyone.
