Leica pairs up with Gagosian for limited edition Leica X2

 

 

Leica has teamed up with the Gagosian Art Gallery to announce an extremely limited edition of the Leica X2. The Leica X2 Gagosian Edition will feature black paint splotches against a white leather grip, and only one hundred of them will be made.

This picture is the only image that we have of the Leica X2 Gagosian Edition, which is unfortunately a fairly low quality image of the rare camera. While still functionally identical to the standard Leica X2, it would be nice to have a better look at the new design.

The Leica X2 Gagosian Edition will be available only through the Gagosian Shop on Madison Avenue, NY, or through the Gagosian online webstore — though the new variant isn't currently up there yet.

While we haven't heard an official price for the Leica X2 Gagosian Edition, the standard version goes for just under $2,000 — and you can bet that this extremely rare version will carry a substantial premium.
