Belfie Stick: For those times when front-facing selfies aren’t degrading enough

It hurts me to write this. It really does. But I felt it was necessary to share to show just how far we’ve come – in the wrong direction. You’ve heard of ‘selfie sticks,’ right? Well, here’s Belfie Stick, a bendable stick designed to help you take self-portraits of your rear end.
This may very well be a practical joke, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it became a reality. In fact, the website already has a pre-order section up that will ensure you’re on the 2015 list to receive your very own Belfie Stick – they supposedly sold out in 2014.
As for reviews on the product, the Belfie Stick website includes a handful of testimonials with Ellen from Lansing, Michigan saying:
‘I can’t believe they invented this, it’s totally insane! Everyone is hurtin holding their phones trying to get the right precise angle. Bend over, snap a pic & done! Belfiestick rulez!!!.’
Whether a premature April Fool’s joke or an attempt to harvest email accounts via the pre-order page, the Belfie Stick is a brilliant creation. Now let's just sit back and watch as the internet becomes fascinated with #Belfies.

UPDATE: Apparently the Belfie Stick is selling for $80. And if you're one of the first 100 people to pre-order (I'm guessing they're already sold out), you can have yours just in time for Valentine's Day.
