New Fotodiox grip turns any RX100 camera into a Hasselblad Stellar lookalike

It isn’t a secret the last few (non-medium format) cameras from Hasselblad are nothing more than Sony camera bodies with ostentatious facades and ridiculous markups.

Hasselblad’s Stellar in particular stands out, with nothing more than an oversized wooden grip and alternative color choices differentiating it aesthetically from Sony’s RX100 series.

To capitalize on the appeal of the Stellar, but save consumers cash, Fotodiox has cleverly created a wooden grip for Sony RX100, RX100 MII, and RX100 MIII cameras that is nearly identical to the one found on Hasselblad’s Stellar.

At $60, it’s a far cry from the thousands of extra dollars you’d be paying for a Hasselblad. Make sure you’re confident before placing the grip on your camera though. As seen in the below video, the grip looks to be permanent once installed on your camera.

You can pick up Fotodiox’s wood grip from its website.
