Lens adapter manufacturer Kipon has unveiled the world’s first Canon EF-MFT electronic autofocus adapter.

Five years ago Kipon developed the world’s first Canon EF lens on Micro Four Thirds body mechanical adapter with a built-in iris. Today, they improve upon the feat with a completely automatic adapter that enables Canon EF and EF-S lenses on any Micro Four Thirds camera body.

The new adapter features electronic contacts and a built-in circuit board which work together to transmit autofocus, image stabilization functionality and EXIF data to MFT cameras.

The adapter is set to go on sale on May 10th, 2015 with a MSRP of $285 USD.
