The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and The Open University have announced they are launching an online photography course.

Titled Digital Photography: Creating and Sharing Better Images, the ten-week course is designed to be an introductory level class to help new photographers get acquainted with the basics of photography, both in composition and gear.

As with most online classes, accredited or not, the course will present weekly assignments and feedback to develop students’ skills. Once completed, students will receive a Royal Photographic Society Certificate in Photography.

The course is set to begin in June 2015 and will cost £200 (~$308) for non-Europeans to participate in. There will be additional classes beginning in October of 2015 and March of 2016. For those interested, you can head on over to RPS’ site to find out more details and take a look at the syllabus.
