It might not be Lightroom 6 or Photoshop CC, but Macphun’s Snapselect is free on the Mac App Store for a week. Usually $24.99, Snapselect strives to rid the pain of culling through photos from a shoot by using image recognition technology to group together similar or duplicate images together.

Once grouped together, you can browse through the images, group together the keepers and discard the ones you no longer want to save disk space. You can then export the images to an external editor, such as Lightroom/Photoshop, save them to a custom folder or share via Facebook, Twitter and other social networks you have connected.

It might not be a life-changer, but considering yu won’t be shelling out any money for it, it’s worth giving a shot. Head on over to the Mac App Store to download your free copy.
