If you’ve ever wanted to own your own iPhone photo editing app, now is your chance. Mike Rundle has announced he’s selling off Filters, a popular iOS photo app he created that focuses on providing a solid collection of filters and effects to overlay onto your mobile images.

The idea for Filters camera around when Rundle realized just how many filter applications for iOS were ‘nickel-and-diming’ users by providing only a few filters at a time. According to his blog post, Rundle said, ‘this business model just didn’t sit well with me’. Thus, he got to work on his own app, Filters, which was released in March of 2015.

Filters features over 800 ‘professionaly-designed’ filters, which Rundle states were designed either by himself, designer acquaintances or other photographers. The app sells for $.99 in the iOS App Store, with no available in-app purchases.

Rundle notes the app ‘peaked at #3 in Paid Photo apps and #16 in Top Paid in the U.S. overall’, drawing in a total of 30,500 copies sold for a net profit of $21,000 once Apple took its 30% cut.

Rundle says he loved building Filters, but just doesn’t have the time for it, as it was a side project that happened to do extremely well. He’s looking for a buyer who will ‘take it to the next level and give it the attention it deserves’. If you think that’s you, or your team, you can have all of the code, all of the design assets and the website (which you’ll need your own domain for) for a cool $10,000.

You can send any inquiries to Rundle through his email [email protected].
