Pooch Selfie: An unusual solution to capturing photos of your dog

As an owner of an ADD Pibble mix, I know all too well how difficult it can be to capture a photo of an attentive dog staring at the camera. Between squirrels and the attention of quite literally anyone else in the general vicinity, there’s usually a .5 second gap to work with when trying to take a photo of my not-quite-puppy Quincy.
A new product is looking to change that though for myself and every other dog owner on the planet who loves to take pictures of their four-legged friend. It’s called Pooch Selfie and it’s an attachment for your smartphone that allows you to oh-so-cleverly hold a dog’s attention.
The creators of Pooch Selfie say the attachment was made with Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy devices in mind, but considering it’s held on with tension, it should be almost universal. In addition to the attachment, you’ll receive a custom Pooch Selfie tennis ball to carry around.
All of the early bird specials are gone, but you can pick up a Pooch Selfie smartphone attachment for a $13 pledge, roughly 23% off what it will eventually retail for. Delivery is set for December 2015 for anyone who pledges now.
If you don’t feel like shelling out $13 for a piece of plastic that could very easily be 3D printed, you could also go with a strip of gaffers tape, which should also get the job done.
