If you have an iPhone, your Ricoh THETA camera just became more powerful with the release of Ricoh's new THETA+ Video application for iPhone.

The new THETA+ Video application brings a bevy of new features to your Ricoh camera, such as 10 filters to adjust color and tone, four new video view formats (including "little planet," which makes your recorded video appear to be planet-shaped and floating in space), the ability to add one of the eight original tracks included with the app or your own music to your videos, in-app trimming of video clips, and the ability to share video directly to social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

The THETA+ Video application is available for free on the App Store now and will be available for Android devices in 2016. The iPhone application is compatible with iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 (Plus), and iPhone 6S (Plus).

Ricoh has also updated the THETA+ application, which is available for free on the App Store. The features include five new filters, non-fixed aspect ratio for cropping and trimming of images, optional blurred backgrounds for Mirror Ball and Equirectangular view modes, display of frames per second when creating a time-lapse video, and more.

To see the full list of features for both the new THETA+ Video and updated THETA+ apps, see Ricoh Imaging's full press release here.

The Ricoh THETA S was recently awarded our Camera of the Year, Most Unique Camera award for its unique use of twin fisheye lenses, its interaction with mobile devices, and the ease with which it allows you to capture full 360-degree spherical panoramas.

With the new Theta+ Video application, an already fun camera has jumped to another level. For more information on the Theta S, check out our review of it here.
