German-based WhiteWall has been producing high-quality prints on a wide variety of substrates from their Frechen, Germany photo lab since 2003. Their online service, WhiteWall.com, has been operational since 2007, and earned an enviable reputation for quality in that time.

Many high-end photographers around the world utilize WhiteWall for their premium printing needs, including for galleries and exhibitions. Their large array of product offerings include the popular original photo print under acrylic glass, which lets you display your own work in the same way that museums and galleries often do. You can also have your photos printed onto aluminum, canvas, or on a variety of fine art papers. WhiteWall can print, matte and frame your work as well.

In addition to the high-quality printing services and products mentioned above, WhiteWall has just begun offering a customizable photobook creation and printing service.

Photobooks can be easily created using WhiteWall's in-browser tool. After selecting the kind of book, cover and paper you want, you can choose to manually work on your layout or upload your photos and let the online WhiteWall Photo Assistant automatically adjust your design and suggest a layout for you. You don't have to worry about finishing your layout in one sitting as you can save your work and pick up later where you left off. If you change your mind about the kind of book you want, you can alter it during the design process and you won't have to start from scratch. Users with design experience can upload their custom photobook as a PDF file as well.

Photographers can select from six different formats for their book, including small landscape, small square, standard portrait, standard landscape, large square and large landscape. You can select from a variety of covers including printed linen, soft covers, leather and more.

You can easily design your own photobook using WhiteWall's in-browser design tools.

The choices don't end there; you will also be able to select from four types of paper. WhiteWall has specifically designed glossy (170 grams), premium high-gloss (170 grams), premium silky matte (250 grams) and premium matte uncoated (170 grams) papers for its new photobooks.

Books can be designed from 24 pages up to 252 pages depending on the selected format, with prices ranging from under $20 for a 24-page small square photobook with a softcover and standard glossy paper to over $400 for a large landscape photobook with 252 pages, a leather cover and all of the most premium fixings. Dimensions range from 7.25 inches by 7.25 inches (small square) to 11.5 inches by 15.75 inches (large landscape).
