New lens company FZeros has an interesting and very fast lens available for Micro Four Thirds shooters, a 25mm T/0.95 manual focus lens. Although designed for video, the lens of course works for still photography as well. What makes this a cine lens is its "super-precise focus control" which offers a 355° range of motion and follow focus gear pitch.
Optically, the lens has 11 elements in nine groups. Six of these are ED glass elements, and the optic also has a circular aperture with 11 blades. The lens' maximum diameter is 4.72 inches and it weighs in at 22 ounces. Its minimum focus distance is 0.59 feet, providing a 1:3.9 reproduction ratio.
Interestingly, you can even get your FZeros Cine-0.95 lens custom engraved. According to the Amazon listing this service is free of charge. The optic itself? That sells for just under $900 (plus around $5 for shipping) and will arrive from Taiwan between mid to late September.
See below for a pair of videos about the lens, including a sample image shot using it.
