Manfrotto announced the launch of a new collection of stylish carrying solutions for your camera gear, the Windsor Collection. There are three models in the Windsor collection, a backpack, a reporter bag and a messenger bag, which is available in two sizes. Each of the bags feature genuine leather trim, water-repellant fabrics, metal detailing and interiors with tartan pattern lining and padded, movable dividers to keep your gear safe. Manfrotto states that the Windsor Collection is for photographers who "enjoy traveling in comfort while having their equipment within easy reach."
The Windsor Collection backpack can hold a wide array of gear, including a DSLR with a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens attached and a pair of extra lenses. There is a 15-inch padded laptop compartment as well. Gear is accessed via top and side openings and the pack has an array of interior and exterior pockets. There are leather tripod straps on the front so that you can carry your support system of choice with you. If you'd like to use your camera backpack as a more traditional backpack, you can do that with Manfrotto's new offering by removing the camera gear insert. The Windsor Collection backpack is available now for just under US$170.
Next up is the Camera Reporter bag. The Windsor Reporter bag can hold a DSLR, 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8 and one additional lens. Like the backpack, it also has a padded laptop compartment, although it can only hold up to a 13-inch model. The interior of the pack includes touch-fastening dividers and it also has tripod straps on its exterior. The two main compartments feature zippered closures, and the bag is designed to work well as an everyday carrying solution in addition to being a camera bag. You can purchase the reporter bag for around $130.
Finally, we look at the Windsor Messenger bag, which is available in two sizes. In both cases, the bag features a zippered closure, magnetic front closure and padded strap. The main difference between the "small" and "medium" sizes are just that, their size. The smaller version is designed to hold a mirrorless camera with a 70-200mm f/4-style lens with two to three additional optics. It has a padded iPad compartment as well. The medium messenger is designed for DSLR camera systems and can hold a DSLR with a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens and two to three additional lenses. Further, it can house a 15-inch laptop. You can order the small Messenger bag for just under $120 and the medium model is available for $140.
