The free raw developer, RawTherapee, has been updated to version 5. For users of Foveon and X-Trans cameras, RawTherapee has often been an excellent alternative to other raw editors, which either don't support or poorly support raw files from these distinct camera sensors, but it is well-regarded by many users of other cameras as well.

Version five introduces many new features. Two of the big new features are wavelets and retinex (page in French) tools. Additional features include monitor profile and rendering intent support, print soft-proofing, automatic chroma noise reduction, 100% previews in the "Inspect" tab, improved curve pipette tool, post-resize sharpening, and much more in addition to general speed improvements and bug fixes. You can read the full list of new features here.

Again, RawTherapee is totally free, so there's no reason not to give it a try, especially for you Fuji and Sigma shooters out there. You can download it here.
