From over 200,000 images, World Photo Organization shares Sony World Photography Awards 2017 shortlist

 

 

Sony and the World Photography Organization have announced the shortlist for the 2017 edition of the prestigious and massive Sony World Photography Awards.

In total, there were 227,596 images submitted to the latest Sony World Photography Awards competition with 49 countries represented on the international shortlist and 11 more countries making the grade for the commended list.

You can peruse the shortlisted images here, but I will select some of my favorites to share with you below. The Sony World Photography Awards winners on April 20 with an exhibition starting the next day at the Somerset House in London. The exhibition will run until May 7 and then the winning images will embark on a worldwide tour.
