Users of Alien Skin’s Exposure X2 RAW photo editor have a brand new update to try out. The Advanced Layers update introduces advanced layering tools to the software which allow for the stacking of effects and creative flexibility. Each layer can be turned on and off, copied and pasted, applied to multiple images and more. The Advanced Layers update can be used as a plug-in for Photoshop and Lightroom or as a standalone program.
The latest update includes additional features, such as: vintage presets; bright presets with low-contrast effects; high DPI support for improved compatibility with 4K monitors; quick export options for web, publishing and more; file naming and destination options; expanded camera support and manual lens correction options; improved selective presets and more.
Alien Skin CEO Finley Lee says of the update, “Exposure now offers an advanced layering system that provides photographers with limitless stacking capabilities, so they can precisely blend multiple looks in their images. And Exposure’s fast, catalog-free approach runs circles around traditional photo editors.”
As mentioned, the update will be free to existing Exposure X2 owners. If you’d like to learn more about Exposure X2, you can read about it here and purchase it for US$149.
