In April, Canon released the EOS M6, and Rebel T7i cameras, both capable of recording good 1920 x 1080 video. To help budding videographers get off the ground quickly and creating video content, Canon has unveiled a pair of new Video Creator Kits. The new kits join a lengthy list of Canon cameras with their own Video Creator Kits.
The EOS M6 Video Creator Kit comes with the M6, of course, an EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM kit lens, a 32GB SDHC memory card and a Rode VideoMic GO On-Camera microphone. The camera itself utilizes Canon’s excellent Dual Pixel CMOS AF, which works great for recording video, and can record Full HD video at up to 60 frames per second. The M6 Video Creator Kit will be available starting Thursday May 11 and will retail for just under US$1,000. You can preorder the kit now.
Including the same 32GB SDHC card and Rode VideoMic GO On-Camera microphone, the Rebel T7i Video Creator Kit comes with the camera body and an EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM kit lens. Like the EOS M6, the T7i utilizes Dual Pixel CMOS AF for faster Live View and video autofocus performance. Also like the M6, the T7i records 1920 x 1080 resolution video at up to 60 fps. You can preorder the $1,000 T7i Video Creator Kit here and it will start shipping on May 11.
