Seemingly always on the cutting edge of adapters, Fotodiox has introduced the DLX Stretch, a 3-in-1 adapter that can adapt a variety of lens mounts to Sony E, Fujifilm X or Micro Four Thirds cameras. It does more than adapt, it also has a helicoid to adjust the distance of the lens from the sensor, allowing for more macro capabilities and back focus adjustment with any adapter lens. Finally, the third aspect of the "3-in-1" DLX Stretch is its new quick-change drop-in filter system, built right into the adapter, allowing for the use of ND4, ND8 and ND16 filters, which are included in each DLX Stretch kit.
In the video below, we can see the drop-in filter system in action and also see how useful it can be for those looking to shoot video with shallow depth of field in bright lighting conditions. We also get a look at the helicoid adjustment in action, allowing for closer focusing. Later in the video, Fotodiox breaks down how to use the new DLX Stretch with a Nikon lens and a Sony E mount camera.
As mentioned in the introductory paragraph, the new Fotodiox DLX Stretch is available for numerous lens mounts, including: Canon EOS EF/EF-S, Canon FD and FL, Contax/Yashica, Leica R, Minolta Rokkor, Nikon F, Olympus Zuiko OM, Pentax K and Leica M. Each of the lens mount versions are available for Sony E, Fujifilm X and Micro Four Thirds mounts. The DLX Stretch costs just under US$130 and is available now. Further, the DLX Stretch comes with ND4, ND8 and ND16 magnetic drop-in filters. Click here to order yours.
