It seems like we haven't heard a lot about new Pentax K-mount lenses lately, but Ricoh has updated their K-mount lens roadmaps for their general K-mount lineup and also their full-frame lineup.

Pentax APS-C camera owners have a new HD Pentax-DA 11-18mm f/2.8 lens to look forward to in the summer of 2018. On the full-frame side of things, there is a lot more action. Pentax has the HD Pentax-D FA 50mm f/1.4 SDM AW lens scheduled for next spring and an assortment of other lenses in development, including a D FA 85mm f/1.4 lens. The other lenses aren't specified by anything more than a general description, but those other lenses include a large aperture wide-angle single focus lens, ultra wide-angle single focus lens, fish-eye zoom lens and a telephoto zoom lens. The telephoto zoom lens is interesting considering that Pentax already offers 70-200mm f/2.8 and 150-450mm f/4.5-5.6 telephoto zoom lenses. There is a noticeable lack of wide-angle and ultra-wide angle optics in the current lineup, so to see that the company is hard at work on new wide-angle K-mount lenses should please Pentax owners. You can see the new lens roadmaps below.
